Why not Try Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/Submission Wrestling?
(Beginner & Intermediate level)
I am Kevin Hamilton, originally from Selkirk and I have been practicing and competing in No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 7 years.
Join me at The Training Station, Tweedbank, Galashiels and learn self defence in a very friendly environment where everyone helps one another to become better.
No Gi BJJ, grappling, submission wrestling and counter attacking techniques.
(Gi is the Japanese word for Traditional Uniform, or what many consider to be Karate Suit for example.
We are less formal and no one wears a Gi here).

Am I at high risk of getting injured?
Well there is of course an element of risk in any contact sport, but thanks to the really friendly environment we have here at The Training Station, I think it is safe to say that because of our supportive culture the risk of injury is kept to an absolute minimum. There is a lot of give and take and the more experienced practitioners love to help the newbies get better! No one is out to hurt you. No knuckleheads here! 🙂 If you are still not convinced, why not come and just watch for a night?
If I get pretty good at this, is there the opportunity to take part in competitions down the line?
Do you also do MMA at The Training Station?
Yes we also have excellent MMA, Muay Thai and Boxing coaching here at The Training Station.
