The Scottish Borders Chamber of Commerce is holding a meeting at the Buccleuch Arms, St Boswells on Friday, 26th August on the subject of “Ethical Hackers” which is being sponsored by Chamber members Bruce Stevenson Insurance Brokers. This is a very interesting subject and any business with a computer and access to the internet should consider coming along – and that is probably all of us. Many of us have been “hacked” into in the past or have at least has our email systems hacked resulting in all of our contacts, including major clients, being subjected to spurious emails some of which can be dangerous. We all need to avoid that happening – not just for the embarrassment factor but for the bad impression it can portray of your business. This talk will show you how to detect it and, more importantly, avoid it. Commences 2.30pm at the Buccleuch Arms, St Boswells. FOC.
Please let firstname.lastname@example.org know if you are intending to come along.
The BBC continually skip from Northumberland to The Lothians in their series “Coast”, but it may surprise you to know that there is a stretch of coastline in the Borders too!
You know the old saying, “If the BBC won’t make a programme about the coast in your area …….. make one yourself.”
Nothing to do this week?
Feeling a bit bored?
Why not go out looking for this Mythical Creature in the Scottish Borders…if you dare.
