Following 4 weeks of P6/7 rugby sessions during curriculum time in Tweeddale schools,,just over 160 children came to the Gytes for a fun touch rugby festival this morning. The main Peebles RFC pitch was divided into 4 mini-pitches with boys playing fixtures on one half and girls on the other. The festival had a Pro 12 theme with children either representing Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leinster, Ulster or Connacht. The children had obviously taken the school coaching sessions on board as there was some great rugby on display! Thanks to George Blair for delivering the sessions in schools and organising the festival today. Thanks also to the Peebles High School seniors for all their help with refereeing and managing pitches!

Enjoyable sessions over the last month at various schools throughout Peeblesshire culminating with yesterdays festival at the Gytes.
