Peer 2 Peer Mindfulness is a Community Interest Company (CIC) teaching secular mindfulness to the community of the Scottish Borders.

Our qualified tutors deliver mindfulness courses and mindfulness based activities in 1-2-1 or group settings to schools, workplaces, care homes, and the wider general public around the Scottish Borders.

Peer 2 peer Mindfulness’s mission is to be a leader within the Scottish Borders community in providing high quality Mindfulness courses to individuals who may not have the financial means to be able to obtain the benefits mindfulness can provide.

As part of this commitment to the local community we offer a number of free of charge mindfulness courses throughout the year to the general public ensuring that financial ability is not an obstacle to anyone receiving the far reaching benefits of mindfulness.

We aim to enable and nurture a growing community of secular mindfulness practitioners from all walks of life by inspiring people to live and work according to mindfulness principles, for the sustained well-being of the Scottish Borders and society as a whole.

We wish to empower under-served individuals through mindfulness and other transformative skills to gain self-awareness, confidence, self-regulation and resilience, leading to increased likelihood of sustained well-being.

Mindfulness is for people who want to improve their overall quality of life, be happier and live life to the fullest. Mindfulness helps you to be aware of the present moment, instead of worrying about the past or future.

Numerous studies into Mindfulness have shown it can bring calmness to our minds, increase resilience, and improve our emotional well-being.

Mindfulness is now used extensively in schools, universities, businesses, sports clubs, hospitals, and prisons, and can be practiced by anyone at any time.

We practice mindfulness by maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and the surrounding environment.

Mindfulness also involves non-judgement, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings with the attitude of an impartial witness β€” without believing them or taking them personally.
