Examples of our unique combination of services
A local caravan park was overrun with rabbits! Although cute and harmless enough, they were causing thousands of pounds of damage to plants, shrubs and electric cable and wiring including Sky TV! The burrowing was leading to issues with falling drainage and sewage pipes. Something had to be done!
After a very discreet cull, Stuart installed a rabbit proof fence which was combined with a very effective live trapping system. Now he only needs to go on site to empty and reset the traps as and when necessary.
A lady was having a terrible time with grey squirrels in the attic! People believe that by blocking the access, it will deter them. Not so if they have young and their route is cut off to the nest, which makes them understandably aggressive.
The problem was a overhanging tree that allowed the squirrels direct access to the eaves! As Stuart is also a qualified tree surgeon, he was able to take care of both problems, without involving separate companies and incurring a great deal more cost to the client!
Our services in more detail
Crown reduction is the reduction of the overall size of the crown by removing the ends of the branches evenly throughout the crown by a specified amount to leave a balanced and maintained shape true to the species.
Crown thinning involves the removal of some of the branches and leaf area of the tree with the intention of creating an even and balanced tree structure. This may include the removal of damaged, crossing and crowded branches.
Stump grinding is the process of removing a stump once a tree has been felled. A typical stump grinder incorporates a cutter wheel with fixed carbide teeth. The cutter wheel movements are controlled by hydraulic cylinders to push the cutter wheel teeth laterally through the stump and to raise and lower the cutter wheel.
Established hedges require trimming to keep them dense and compact. Formal hedges require more frequent trimming than informal hedges.
Tree felling can be required when a tree has died or cannot have its crown reduced or thinned and needs to be removed to prevent damage to property or danger to life. In some cases healthy trees can be felled to enhance the natural light in living spaces.
We can carry out garden maintenance and lawn care as a one off or repeat visit, depending upon your requirements.
