Chamber Director, Mark Timmins, took part in a roundtable voice call yesterday, joining representatives from the wider Scottish Chambers network along with Cabinet Secretary Fiona Hyslop MSP and Minister Jamie Hepburn MSP.
Those taking part discussed a variety of questions including: the rateable value threshold, parity with the rest of the UK with Business Grants, the issue that existing Schemes do not provide Directors with enough support, clarity & consistency on classification from SG on what constitutes “essential work” and definitions of a key worker.
Our Directors continue to take part in video conferencing sessions at a national-level, ensuring there is representation for Borders business during this crisis.
