Meet: 10.30 am at Coldingham Sands car park at NT915664, OS Explorer 346.

Route from Edinburgh: take A1 south to Reston, turn left along B6438 to Coldingham, straight through village following signs to Coldingham Sands.
Excursion: we will take the coastal path south-east, looking at Homeli Knowe at Milldown Point, cross the Milldown Burn then continue to Linkim Bay and Fleurs Dean/ Hallydown Dean (the deans unexplored for bryophytes). We will return along the shore at Yellow Craig where there is a small saltmarsh, and calcareous tufa outcrops.
Bryological interest: several calcicoles such as Leiocolea turbinata, Palustriella commutata and Hymenostylium recurvirostrum on calcareous rocks and tufa.
Hazards: slippery paths and rocks.
