Shout Out for Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team this afternoon, responding to an emergency at the Caddon Bank bike runs (Inners DH) here in Innerleithen, Scottish Borders.

Attending a call out from Police Scotland and attended by the Scottish Ambulance Service, the team of volunteers made their way up into the tracks to rescue a young rider who had got into difficulties following an accident and was unable to walk back.

I happened to be in the area on a walk-about and am reliably informed the rider was OK and was taken away in the ambulance for a sound check-up.

The team supply professional back-up to the Emergency Services assessing with missing persons, hillwalkers, mountain-bikers, climbers etc and rely on donations, so if you would like to help them to perhaps help you or someone you know in the future, then you can do so so online at this link.
