I first heard about the Bowen Technique through my sister, Jacqui Hoitingh who had become a practitioner. I had suffered a back problem for years which I had tried to amend with other treatments but I was still left with a dull ache. After I had two or three treatments from Jacqui I found I was pain free. I also have had a Hormonal disorder which I suffered from for nearly a year, and again two treatments and everything returned to normal. I was so impressed by this therapy that I knew I had learn it and pass it on to others.

I studied diligently, and I qualified in September 2004 with the Bowtech Bowen Association. I practice from the Borders Health, Stress and Injuries Clinic, located close to Kelso’s wonderful Abbey. I also treat in Galashiels from TLC Borders midweek on Wednesdays.

Dynamic Muscle Release Therapy which treats the body on a whole.A treatment lasts about 3/4 of an hour to an hour depending on each individual client. Treatment can be done over light clothing, Client is asked to relax on a treatment couch and therapist will use specific moves over muscles tendons and ligament and some nerves to tap into the bodies own ability to heal itself, The treatment will last for about 4 days after where the body will do the necessary adjustments.

ASUI REIKI

Reiki is a therapy often described as palm healing or hands-on-body healing in which a practitioner places hands lightly on or over a patient’s body to facilitate the patient’s process of healing. Reiki combines the Japanese and Chinese word-characters of “rei” (spiritual or supernatural) and “ki” (vital energy)
