Craig Motors Ltd was established at Mansfield Park, Hawick in 2008. The business originally began in Myreslawgreen in 1974, established by the current owners’ father, John Craig, and was formerly known as John Craig Motor Engineers, who built a strong customer base creating the foundations of the business as it is today. With 2 members of staff in 2008, Craig Motors Ltd has since grown and developed and currently employs 6 staff. To keep up with demand, a new division of the business has been created as David Craig Performance Tyres,which operates from the newly constructed, dedicated tyre fitting bay and alignment centre. There is also a comfortable on-site waiting area with TV, free wi-fi and coffee machine.

Along with David Craig who is the owner, Director, Vehicle Technician and MOT examiner, the employees include:

• Darren Boughen – Workshop Supervisor/Vehicle Technician

Darren joined the business in October 2017 with 17 years experience in the Motor Industry. His qualifications include, Brakes, Suspension, Tyres, Air Conditioning and he is also one of our MOT examiners.

• Garry Kerr – Vehicle/Tyre Technician

Garry joined the business in January 2018 with 10 years experience in the Motor Industry. His qualifications include, Brakes, Suspension, Tyres, Air Conditioning and is one of our MOT examiners.  Garry also has varied experience in Customer Relations.

• Raymond Allison – Customer Care/Service Reception/Vehicle Sales

Raymond joined the business in 2011 with over 22 years experience of Vehicle Sales and Management with a local leading franchise dealership.  In addition to car sales, Raymond assists in the office and is heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the business.

• Calum Craig – ‘Apprentice’ Vehicle/Tyre Technician

Calum joined the family business in July 2018, starting a course at Borders College in September, which will lead on to an Apprenticeship commencing January 2019.

• Laura Craig – Director/Office Admin.
