The club meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays every month from 7.00 to 11.00 pm at the Black Bull Public House in Earlston. We welcome new members of any standard including beginners and usually orient the first hour of our meeting towards beginners. All members must be old enough to enter licensed premises. There is no membership fee but we do charge a £1.00 attendance fee per meeting for adult members.

We try to promote the ukulele as a fun accessible instrument for anyone to make their own music. We play at local events such as the Lauderdale Over-60’s Christmas Lunch and the Earlston Community day. We use these events and our weekly attendance fees to raise funds to provide ukuleles for local schools. Several club members also run a community ukulele group at Stow Primary School. We are also looking to put on our own ukulele workshops.

We maintain links with other ukulele clubs in the Borders including the Coldingham, Peebles and Hawick groups.

Several of the members are also in different musical groups such as the Jockuleles and Small Town Splitters.
