Journeyman stonemason with 25+ years experience. Will work in any stone. Drystone dyking to hand carving and mouldings. I can dress/finish and fix/build; including window/door openings, arches(self supporting) chimneys, ashlar to random rubble. Also sculpture commissions.
Lime based mortar and lime putty always. 

New builds, remodelling, structural repairs and restoration.
I build to a high standard with close joints (unless matching an existing style) and add a personal touch or flair into my work. I build for the long term. Therefore I do not work on “kit” builds in rubble stone and would not advise anyone to buy or build other than traditional where a stone finish is involved.
I will build 7n block/anstone or equivalent to sheath a “kit” with an advisory against the wisdom of this form of building.

Also available for forestry work, including on site milling with a chainsaw mill, allowing timber in difficult lies to be utilised. Large hardwoods no problem(subject to inspection!)
