Melrose Festival is held in the third week of June to promote an interest in the life of the community and to remind us of Melrose's historical past.

The Festival started in 1936 to promote an interest in the life of the community and to remind us of Melrose’s historical past. A Melrosian and a Festival Queen and Court lead the town are appointed annually during Festival Week and represent us at neighbouring town Festivals.
