Carers Trust Scotland (formerly the Princess Royal Trust for Carers) has been operating in Scotland since 1991.  The Trust is the largest provider of comprehensive carers support services in Scotland, reaching over 40,000 carers from all groups and communities through a unique network of independent carers centres throughout Scotland.

The Borders Carers Centre support anyone who is caring for a friend, relative or partner.  You do not have to be living with the person you care for to qualify for a Carers Support Plan.   You also do not need to be in receipt of Carers Allowance to be recognised as a Carer.

Our services are free, impartial and individual.  We work closely with social work and health (although we are an independent charity), and our role is to ensure that YOU are fully supported – even if the person you are caring for does not wish, or is not entitled to, help themselves.
