The Five Turrets is a stylish vacation rental property located in a historic building in Selkirk at the heart of the Scottish Borders.

Resembling a small castle on the outside and fully renovated inside to the highest standards of comfort and style, The Five Turrets is a destination in itself.

Only an hour from Edinburgh by road or rail, it is also the ideal location for exploring the beautiful Scottish Borders and southern Scotland.

Built around 1850 in the Scottish Baronial style, The Five Turrets has four double bedrooms comfortably sleeping eight people and an extraordinary triple-height living space featuring a wood burning stove, chef’s kitchen, dining space and library and TV mezzanine.

Outside there’s a lovely garden and secure bike storage for cyclists wanting to enjoy the local world class mountain biking.

For walkers, the beautiful hills and valleys of the Borders are on the doorstep. For anglers there’s the Tweed. Golfers are spoilt for choice, with the Roxburghe and Cardrona courses both nearby.

It’s a region steeped in history, from Hadrian’s Wall to the south to Edinburgh an hour away by road or train to the north. Everywhere there are reminders of the region’s colourful past as the home of the notorious Border Reivers and the scene of hundreds of years of bloody conflict between Scotland and England.

For families there’s a huge range of activities to keep the kids amused: climb and zip wire through the trees at the nearby Go Ape, fly birds of prey in the Kielder forest or whizz down a hillside on a grass sledge.

And for those who want to push the boat out a bit, a personal chef, in house massage therapies and guided fishing can all be booked to make that holiday even more special.
