We are very excited to welcome Debbie Zawinski, The Feral Spinner to Untangled Yarns. 

Debbie is a knitter, spinner, and author known for In the Footsteps of Sheep, which chronicles her journey across Scotland collecting wool from native sheep breeds, spinning it, and knitting socks. Her work reflects a deep connection to traditional techniques and Scotland’s textile heritage. She has also authored Stories in Stitches: A Memoir in Knitting. 

Through her writing and craft, Debbie celebrates the links between knitting, nature, and storytelling. 

It is this storytelling and demonstration of her craft that Debbie brings to Untangled Yarns. 

WHEN 

The event will be on Saturday 17 May 2025 from 2pm to 3:30pm at Untangled Yarns, Galashiels. 

COST 

The cost will be £8.00, but this will be discounted from the cost of any of Debbie’s books purchased on the day.
